The Port of Bergen has frequent visits from offshore vessels. The ships utilize most of the quays in the port. An increasing number of offshore vessels are using shore power while docking at the port. This means they switch off their diesel engines and instead use electricity from the shore.
Currently, the Port of Bergen has 13 shore power supply points for offshore vessels. These are located at Skolten, Festningskaien, Nykirkekaien, and Dokken.
